9,000 of 62,000 applicants pass Oyo TESCOM CBT exam
Of 62,000 applicants for post-primary school teaching positions with the Oyo State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM), 9,000 passed the recently connected Computer Based Examination (CBT).
Pastor Akinade Alamu, Chairman of TESCOM, disclosed this while officially releasing the computer-based test results.
Following the opening of vacancies for 7,000 teaching and 3,500 non-teaching positions across the state’s post-primary institutions, 62,000 applicants expressed an interest in working for Oyo TESCOM.
Speaking yesterday, Alamu stated that the commission had established the minimum cut-off marks for advancement to the next stage of the recruitment process.
He stated that the cut-off mark for the exercise is 50%.
The chairman said the 9,000 candidates who passed the CBT will go through interview sessions within one week, beginning in August.14.
