PTF threatens to shut down schools if COVID-19 cases keep rising
The Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 has warned that it will shut down schools across the country if there is a continuous rise in the number of confirmed cases of the coronavirus.
The PTF National Incident Manager, Mukhtar Muhammed, gave the warning in an interview with newsmen. According to Mukhtar, the task force had wanted to delay the opening of schools, but states across the federation were against it and insisted on reopening.
He said they are monitoring the current situation in the country and if the cases continue to rise and spread across schools, it will certainly close schools.
