Rwandan university names Nigerian professor as new Deputy Vice-Chancellor
The University of Kigali has named Professor Ogechi Adeola, a Nigerian, as the new Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academics.
The announcement was made public on the university’s website.
The governing body of the university stated that Adeola’s appointment, which is effective January 11, emphasises her dedication to academic excellence and dynamic leadership.
Prominent in the field of marketing, Adeola has over 28 years of experience, an MBA and a Doctorate in Business Administration from Alliance Manchester Business School, UK.
She was previously Head of the Department of Operations, Marketing, and Information Systems at the Lagos Business School, Pan-Atlantic University, Nigeria.
The statement added, “Starting her career at Citibank Nigeria, Professor Adeola’s commitment to excellence is evident through her completion of executive education programs globally. Her interdisciplinary research interests cover marketing strategy, sustainability, tourism, and gender studies, resulting in over 120 academic publications and accolades, including the Emerald Literati Award for Outstanding Paper in 2022.
