Mbah establishes governing council for Enugu State University
Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah has selected Chinyeka Ohaa as Chairman of the Enugu State University of Science and Technology Governing Council.
The governor also approved Professor Ikenna Chukwu’s assignments.
The governing council includes James Ifeanyi, Gladys Okoro, Chinedu Onu, and Dr. Eric Oluedo.
Prof. Chidiebere Onyia, Secretary to the State Government, released a declaration on Tuesday stating this.
According to the announcement, Mbah also named Prof. Uchenna Ekwochi as Provost of the College of Medicine at Enugu State University of Science and Technology.
Mr. Francis Aninwike will also serve as General Manager of the Enugu State Signage and Advertisement Agency.
According to the statement, the selections were made based on the candidates’ merits, experiences, track records, and excellent leadership abilities, and they were anticipated to reposition the institutions and agencies for the state’s growth and development.
“It is expected that you will bring to bear your years of experiences and leadership qualities as technocrats and help the state to reposition these institutions and agency in line with the disruptive innovation and governance philosophy of this administration,” the statement said.
While congratulating the newly appointed officials, the SSG made it clear that their appointments took effect immediately.
