DLI UNILAG prepared to commence 4 new programmes




Professor Folasade Ogunsola, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Lagos (UNILAG), has announced that the Distance Learning Institute (DLI) will launch four new programmes in the next academic session.

She made the remark while addressing newly admitted Distance Learning Institute students during the Institute’s 2023/2024 Blended Matriculation Ceremony, which was held at the Nurudeen Alao Auditorium, DLI, UNILAG, over the weekend.

She stated that the National Universities Commission (NUC) has given the University permission to start the following four programmes at the Distance Learning Institute: Postgraduate Diploma in Education, Bachelor of Science in Finance, Bachelor of Education in Guidance and Counselling, and Bachelor of Educational Administration.

Welcoming the matriculating students to the University of First Choice and the Nation’s Pride, Prof. Ogunsola congratulated them for selecting the open distance learning form of education, “as it is the way of the future” and charged them to be of good character “in deed and in truth”.

The new intakes were presented to the Vice-Chancellor by the Director of the Institute, Prof. Risikat Dauda and sworn in by the Acting Registrar, Mrs. Olakunle Makinde
