Incoming students to receive discounts of 10-50% on tuition fees as AUN celebrates 20th anniversary

To commemorate its 20th anniversary, the American University of Nigeria (AUN) in Yola, Adamawa State’s capital, is awarding tuition scholarships to young students from Nigeria and other African countries.

The university administration declared on Thursday that the scholarship award reinforces the institution’s commitment to providing outstanding education to worthy students, regardless of their socioeconomic status.

According to the scholarship terms, incoming students will receive tuition fee discounts ranging from 10% to 50%, depending on the programme they participate in.

Nursing, Public Health, and Engineering – Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, and Telecommunications Engineering – are the programmes with the most significant discounts.

Dr. DeWayne P. Frazier, President of AUN, described the scholarship as a welcome development that aims to encourage young Nigerians to pursue their first degree in their home country before seeking further education abroad, noting that AUN provides the same quality global education as obtained abroad at a fraction of the cost.

Frazier also remarked that it is a further expression of gratitude to the many AUN parents and graduates whose faith and conviction in the university’s philosophy have proven to be its greatest assets.

According to Frazier, “We are thrilled to offer the new 20th Anniversary Tuition Scholarships in celebration of the two decades of the American University of Nigeria. These scholarships aim at recognizing the outstanding achievements of our students as well as bolstering opportunities for more enrollment across the nation and the African Continent.

“We are urging students to take advantage of this new program as there will never be a time that the university fees are this competitively priced. Help us celebrate our 20th Anniversary at AUN!”

He also stated that the scholarships will help to alleviate some of the hardships that AUN parents encounter, as some have many family members attending the university.
