McPherson University set to induct first set of nursing graduates




The management of McPherson University, Seriki Sotayo, Ogun State, has selected Wednesday, July 31st, 2024 for the inaugural induction ceremony of her first set of Nursing Graduates into the Nursing Profession.

The event, billed for the University’s Multipurpose Hall, is expected to draw significant stakeholders in the education sector, friends of the University from various walks of life, and the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.

According to Sanmi Enigbokan, Deputy Registrar, Information and Public Relations, Dr. Dorothy Odetola of the Department of Community Health Nursing, College of Medicine, University of Ibadan, will deliver a paper titled “Advancing Frontiers In Nursing Education And Practice: Effect of Japa Syndrome On Sub-Saharan Africa”.

Meanwhile, the Registrar of the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria, Alhaji (Dr.) Faruk Abubakar, is anticipated to attend this important occasion, when new graduates will be inducted into the highly sought-after Nursing Profession as Registered Nurses (RN).

The statement read in parts, “It is on record that the University’s first set of nursing graduates came out with flying colours in the Nursing Council Examination held recently, which is an attestation of her commitment to building a new generation of nurses that would impact positively the global community.

“The University Management welcomes all invited guests, members of staff and students, as it celebrates this milestone,” the statement added.
