Governing Council Chair lauds FG’s education transformation drive

BICHI Kano State (Sundiata Scholar) – The newly appointed Chairman, Governing Council, Federal College of Education (Technical), Bichi, Kano, Sen. Muhammad Abba-Aji has extolled President Bola Tinubu for his commitment toward reviving education sector.

Speaking at the inaugural meeting on Wednesday in Bichi, Abba-Aji lauded President Tinubu’s commitment towards supporting education and providing the necessary resources for institutions to thrive.

Abba-Aji, a former Presidential Liaison Officer, National Assembly, expressed readiness and commitment to continue with the positive development in the institution.

He said as the chairman of the governing council, he would operate an open door policy, where everyone would be carried along for the development of the institution.

The chairman said the institution had a rich history of producing quality educators and stressed the need for collective efforts to sustain and preserve the already established legacy.

While thanking President Bola Tinubu for the opportunity to serve in that capacity, Abba-Aji pledged to justify the confidence reposed on him and his members.

He commended the Deputy Senate President, Barau Jibrin and member representing Bichi federal constituency, Kabir Abubakar for their efforts in bringing federal projects and other intervention to the institution.

The chairman lauded the Provost of the college for his developmental strides in the institution, and encouraged him to sustain the tempo for the good of the college and the nation at large

Earlier, the institution’s Provost, Dr Sadi Muhammad, congratulated the chairman as well as the members on their appointment and promised to create an enabling environment for them to succeed.

He expressed confidence that the chairman would bring his wealth of knowledge and experience to bear in the discharge of his new assignment.
