NECO registrar elected as West African representative to AEAA
Professor Dantani Ibrahim Wushishi, Registrar of the National Examinations Council (NECO), was elected to the Executive Council of the Association for Educational Assessment in Africa (AEAA) as the West Africa Representative.
He was elected at the Association’s 40th Conference, which recently ended in Cape Town, South Africa.
Wushishi will be a member of the eight-member Executive Council, which will also include representatives from other African examination bodies.
The Association of Educational Assessment in Africa was founded in 1982 to foster cooperation among Africa’s examination and assessment agencies.
The Association is tasked with the harmonization of Educational Assessment in the African Continent.
The AEAA conference with the theme “Reimaging Education Assessment in the Age of Multiple Dimensions of Learning in a Global Society” began on August 19th and ended on August 23rd. The conference was attended by 21 active primary members, as well as representatives from other public and private institutions and organisations around the world.
