Greenwich Foundation renovates Ransome Kuti Grammar School in Lagos

Greenwich Foundation has refurbished Ransome Kuti Grammar School in Yaba, Lagos.

In a statement, the foundation stated that the action was consistent with its corporate social responsibility and dedication to improving quality educational facilities.

Erelu Adebayo, Chairman of the Greenwich Foundation, remarked that Ransome Kuti Memorial Junior & Senior Grammar School was a source of hope and education for the community.

She said, “On behalf of the Greenwich Foundation, it is my honour to unveil the newly renovated facilities, which include the painting of all classrooms, replacement of ceiling fans and lighting, renovation of the food shed, interlocking of the entire school’s backyard, and painting of the exteriors of both the Junior and Senior Secondary schools, among others.”

Adebayo thanked the Lagos State Government and contributing partners, Greenwich Merchant Bank, Greenwich Registrars & Data Solutions Ltd, and Greenwich Trustees Ltd, for their assistance. She underlined the foundation’s partnership with the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education to guarantee that every child receives the quality education they deserve.

Yewande Akomolede, Greenwich Foundation’s Programme Co-ordinator, revealed that the renovations began last year with the reconstruction of 66 toilets for the Junior and Senior Secondary schools.

“We recognise that providing clean and functional restrooms is essential for the well-being and comfort of our students while they get educated,” she remarked.

Also, Yusuf Ajoke, the Tutor General (Permanent Secretary) of Lagos State, praised the Greenwich Foundation for its efforts in adopting and upgrading the school’s facilities, adding that the makeover would improve quality learning outcomes.
