Professor Ediga Bede Agbo has been named acting Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Health Sciences, Otukpo (FUHSO).
Prof. Ediga Agbo was appointed acting Vice Chancellor of the University at a special meeting of the Governing Council on October 17, 2024, presided over by Engr. Ohieku Muhammed Salami, Pro Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council of FUHSO.
The Pro Chancellor and Chairman Governing Council and Members, earlier, during the meeting suspended the pioneer Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Innocent Ujah, mni, OON, NPOM, for alleged gross misconduct and willful disregard to its authority.
The sexagenarian, and renowned professor of Microbiology is a native of Otukpo, Benue State, Nigeria. Prof Ediga Agbo has since assumed duty as the acting VC of FUHSO for a period of six months.
