The Ansar-ud-Deen Comprehensive High School Old Students Association has called on Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa to improve the infrastructure and learning facilities at their alma mater.
The association highlighted that it has been funding ad hoc staff due to a shortage of teachers in essential subjects.
Speaking at a press briefing in Owo to commemorate the school’s 50th anniversary, National President Naibi Afolabi Ahmed emphasized the need for improved facilities across all public schools in the state.
The anniversary celebration will include an awards ceremony honouring distinguished indigenes of Owo Kingdom and alumni who have made notable contributions to the school and community.
Ahmed noted that the alumni association has already taken on projects in need of support, including the renovation of the school hall, upgrades to the sports field and hostel accommodations, and improvements to computer and laboratory facilities.
