SSU Postgraduate Admission Requirements
Each programme at SSU has specific admission requirements.
PhD Programmes
Applicants must have a Master’s degree in a relevant field with a CGPA of at least 3.0 on a 5.0 scale.
Master’s Programmes
Candidates need a Second Class Lower degree in a relevant field.
Those with a Postgraduate Diploma or a Third Class degree, along with five years of work experience, may also apply.
Postgraduate Diploma Programmes
Candidates should have a Higher National Diploma (HND) with Lower Credit or a Third Class degree in a relevant field.
SSU may accept equivalent qualifications deemed suitable by the university.
Steps to Apply for SSU Postgraduate Admission
The application process at SSU is straightforward.
- Visit the SSU Postgraduate School Portal.
- Click “Start New Application” to create an account.
- Register with the necessary details and log in.
- Upload a passport photo and signature.
- Click “Generate Invoice” and select “Confirmed & Generate” to receive a Unified Payment Reference ID.
- Choose “Pay Now” for online payment or print the invoice for payment at a designated bank.
- After payment, log back into your account to get an application number.
- Update your biodata, O-level, and A-level details.
- Upload your academic certificates.
- List three referees.
- PhD applicants should submit a research proposal.
- Complete the form by clicking “Final Submission” and print your form and acknowledgement slip.

The application deadline is November 16, 2024, with a non-refundable fee of twelve thousand naira (₦12,000).
