Requirements for University of Geneva Excellence Master Scholarship
- Outstanding and highly motivated students wishing to pursue a Master of Science degree in one of the Faculty of Science’s disciplines at the University of Geneva.
- Applicants who have completed or are in the process of completing a bachelor’s degree with excellent results.
- Applicants must meet the admission criteria of their chosen Master’s programme.
- Students who have already started a Master’s programme at the Faculty of Science are not eligible.
Selection Process
- Selection is based on academic excellence and motivation, evaluated through the application file.
- Strong preference for candidates who demonstrate a clear scientific focus and commitment to their chosen field.

- A scanned copy of your national ID or passport.
- A Curriculum Vitae (maximum two pages).
- Bachelor’s degree transcript with all grades.
- A motivation letter detailing your scientific interests and reasons for choosing the University of Geneva.
- (If possible) Two letters of reference from professors, sent directly by them to Excellence-Master-Sciences@unige.ch.
- Other pertinent information, such as GRE or TOEFL test results.
