Wilson Centre 2025 Agents of Change Youth Fellowship Programme




The Agents of Change Youth Fellowship is a professional initiative offered by the Wilson Centre’s Middle East Programme and Environmental Change and Security Programme. This fellowship is designed to support emerging leaders from the MENA region dedicated to tackling climate change, water security, and peace.

The 2025 programme emphasises water-related challenges in the MENA region, focusing on water insecurity, its links to conflict dynamics, and its role in ensuring regional stability and sustainability. It features a virtual seminar series and a capstone project, culminating in the publication of the fellows’ research papers in a collective volume.

Requirements for Wilson Centre Agents of Change Youth Fellowship Programme

The eligibility criteria include:

  • Applicants must be citizens of countries in the MENA region.
  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree and 3 years of work experience in a relevant field, or a master’s degree with demonstrated interest in climate change, water, and peace, is required.
  • Applicants must be 35 years of age or younger at the time of submission.
  • Fellows can be located anywhere globally but must have reliable and consistent internet access for video conferences and meetings.

  • Two letters of recommendation (please ask for letters to be sent directly to mep@wilsoncenter.org)
  • A short response (500 words maximum) to the following question: What is one strategy or approach you believe could effectively address the growing water insecurity in the Middle East and North Africa? Your response may focus on a single country or consider a regional perspective.
