NANS Approves 15 Candidates for Presidential Race

The Independent Convention Planning Committee (ICPC) of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has published the results of its screening process for the forthcoming national convention, scheduled to take place from February 23 to 27, 2025, at Old Parade Ground, Abuja.

Following a comprehensive evaluation, 15 candidates were deemed eligible, including Anzaku Shedrack from the University of Abuja, Atiku Abubakar Isa from Abubakar Audu University, Ayingba, Righteous Aondowas from NSUK Keffi, Maiyaki Isaq Mohammed from the Federal University of Technology Minna, Benjamin Daoupam from Plateau State Polytechnic, and Agada Noah from the Federal University of Lokoja.

Additional candidates who passed the screening include Yusuf Umar from Nasarawa State University, Keffi, Gambo Abubakar Mohammed from IBB University Lapai, Godia T Adam from NSUK Keffi, Eve Dominic from BSU Makurdi, Olushola Oladoja from the University of Jos, Salahudeen Sulieman from the University of Abuja, Musa Mosses Atah from NSUK Keffi, Jeremiah Friday from BSU Makurdi, and Mamud Abubakar from KWASU Malete.

Meanwhile, Abbah Owocho from BSU Makurdi, along with four other candidates, did not qualify as they failed to satisfy the authentic studentship requirements.

The screening process, which adhered strictly to the constitutional guidelines of NANS, was designed to verify that only legitimate students take part in the election, thereby preserving the credibility of the organization.

This screening report was officially signed and issued by Prince Koyoyo, the chairman of NANS ICPC 2025, and Comr. Adio Friday, the secretary of NANS ICPC.
