US-Based Pastor Plans Spiritual Conference Tour in Nigerian Universities

A Nigerian pastor based in the United States, Pastor Akinsola Kings, has unveiled his intention to host a series of Christian conferences across universities in Nigeria to ignite spiritual awakening among students.
The event, titled Global Campus Reignition, is being coordinated by the American International Christian University, South Carolina, USA, in collaboration with the Joint Campus Christian Fellowship and Christian student associations within participating schools.
As disclosed in a statement provided to the media, the first phase of the conference will take place at the University of Ibadan on June 14, 2025, followed by a session at Lagos State University on June 20, and then at the University of Port Harcourt on June 28.
The statement outlined that the goal of the initiative is to revive the spiritual fervor of students, encourage discipleship, and recognize young people already creating “a steady impact in the vineyard of the Lord.”
“Arrangements are in top gear, and plans have been concluded to make the much-awaited gatherings a success,” the statement added.
According to the statement, Kings mentioned that the conference would also give attendees an opportunity to reaffirm their faith, renew their dedication to Christ, and shift from being passive Christians to becoming actively involved in evangelism and campus outreach.
Kings further noted that the event, which was first introduced in the United States in 2024, is intended to become a yearly opportunity for students to strengthen their faith, find their purpose, and enhance their involvement in the Great Commission.
He estimated that there are about 70 million Christian students worldwide between the ages of 18 and 24, many of whom, he observed, are yet to be stirred to create a real spiritual impact.
“This is why the university has designed the conference to mobilise Christian students and build a global community of young believers who will influence society positively,” he added.
The program is expected to include participation from ministers, gospel artists, academics, youth leaders, athletes, and Christian professionals from various industries.
