58 inmates sit for 2025 NECO SSCE in Kano

A total of fifty-eight inmates from custodial centres under the Kano State Command of the Nigerian Correctional Service are currently participating in the 2025 National Examinations Council (NECO) Senior School Certificate Examination.

According to a statement issued by the command’s spokesperson, Musbahu K/Nasarawa, the achievement was made possible through the generous assistance of the Kano State Government, which graciously covered the examination registration fees.

“This gesture is a testament to the State Government’s commitment to the welfare, rehabilitation, reformation, and reintegration of inmates in the command.

“The Command wishes to express its profound gratitude to His Excellency, the Governor, for his unwavering support and partnership. This gesture will go a long way in boosting the morale of the inmates and providing them with a second chance at education and a brighter future.

“The Nigerian Correctional Service, Kano State Command, remains committed to providing a conducive environment for the rehabilitation and reformation of inmates, and we are proud to have the support of the Kano State Government in this endeavour,” Mr K/Nassarawa said.
