Peter Obi donates N25 million to Anambra college

Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, donated N25 million to the Dominican Sisters’ College, Abatete, in Anambra State on Sunday.

Obi offered this donation as part of his support for the foundation laying of the boys’ hostel at the school.

In a message shared on X, the former Governor of Anambra State mentioned that he has supported the school’s development since his tenure as governor.

He stated that, during his tenure, he oversaw the construction of the school’s girls’ hostel from the ground up, ensuring that female students had a secure, safe, and suitable environment for living and learning.

He posted on X, “Today, I laid the foundation of the boys’ hostel and continued my commitment to the school by donating N25 million.”

“Education remains the most productive investment any nation can make. It is the foundation of progress, the initial ladder of pulling people out of poverty, and the bedrock of peace and development.”

“We must continue to support our health and educational institutions and poverty alleviation if we are to build a strong and sustainable nation for our future leaders,” Obi noted.
