Air force institute of Technology (AFIT) admission into HND, Pre-HND and PGD programmes for 2020/2021 session has been announced. Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for preliminary and direct entry admissions into the following programmes in the 2020/2021 Academic Session:

AFIT Pre-HND Admission Requirements.
Pre-Higher National Diploma (Pre-HND) Programmes in Aircraft Engineering Technology and Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technology
(1) ND with a minimum of lower credit pass (CGPA of 2.50) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Material Science Engineering
(2) A minimum of one year post-ND cognate work experience.
Pre-Higher National Diploma (Pre-HND) Programme in Purchasing and Supply
1) ND with a minimum of lower credit pass (CGPA of 2.50) in any relevant field obtained from recognized polytechnics.
(2) A minimum of one year post-ND cognate work experience.

AFIT HND Admission Requirements
Higher National Diploma (HND) Programmes in Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technology, Aircraft Engineering Technology (Airframe and Power Plant Option), Aircraft Engineering Technology (Avionics Option), Mechanical Engineering Technology (Power and Plant Option), Mechanical Engineering Technology (Manufacturing) and Purchasing and Supply
- ND with a minimum of lower credit pass (CGPA of 2.50 and above) in the relevant field from recognized Polytechnics.
- A minimum of one year post-ND cognate work experience.
- Five (5) ‘O’ level credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and any other subject from Agricultural Science, Applied Electricity, Auto Mechanics, Biology, Building Construction, Chemistry, Electronics, Further Mathematics, Geography, Metalwork, Physics and Technical Drawing.
Higher National Diploma (HND) Programmes in Purchasing and Supply
- ND with a minimum of lower credit pass (CGPA of 2.50 and above) in Business Administration and Management from recognized Polytechnics.
- A minimum of one year post-ND cognate work experience.
- O’level credits to include Government or History and any two (2) of Economics, Geography, Civic Education, French, Arabic, Islamic Studies and Christian Religious Studies.
- Evidence of compulsory Industrial Training (IT) or attachment in a reputable Health Institution.
AFIT PGD Programmes
- Aerospace Engineering (Aeromechanical Option).
- Aerospace Engineering (Avionics Option).
- Supply Chain Management.
AFIT PGD Admission Requirements
- Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) Programme in Aerospace Engineering:
Minimum of Third Class in Engineering, Material Sciences or Physics or HND with a minimum of lower credit in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/|Electronic Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, Material Science Engineering. - Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) Programme in Logistics and Supply Chain Management.
A minimum grade of B.Sc degree with Third Class Honours or HND with a minimum of lower credit in Purchasing & Supply and other related fields. - Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) Programme in Electrical and Electronics Engineering
A minimum of Third Class in first Degree or HND with a minimum of lower credit in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and other related fields. - Masters Programme in Aerospace Engineering
A minimum of Second Class Honours in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/|Electronics Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering and Material Science Engineering or Physics.
The Pre-HND in Aircraft Engineering Technology Programme is a one year orientation course specifically designed for candidates with ND in engineering fields other than aircraft engineering. The programme is meant to introduce students to aircraft engineering and also provide a good foundation for such students to further their studies in aviation related programmes.
The PGD in Aerospace Engineering at AFIT is a one-year programme that is specially designed to prepare candidates for a one-year MSc programme in aerospace engineering at Cranfield University, United Kingdom (UK). Candidates, who on completion of the PGD programme, wish to enrol for the Masters’ programme at Cranfield University, UK can choose to specialise in one of the following fields:
a. MSc Aerospace Vehicle Design (Airframe and Airframe Systems Option).
b. MSc Aerospace Vehicle Design (Avionics Systems Design Option).
c. MSc Thermal Power.
d. MSc Computational Fluid Dynamics.
e. MSc Flight Dynamics
