Akwa Ibom State University (AKSU) Supplementary Post-UTME Application for 2024/2025
Akwa Ibom State University (AKSU) is now accepting applications for supplementary admissions for the 2024/2025 academic session.
This option is available to candidates who designated AKSU as their first-choice institution and scored at least 140 in the 2024 UTME.
Eligible Programmes and Requirements
Faculty of Agriculture
- Programmes: Agricultural Economics and Extension, Animal Science, Crop Science, Fisheries and Aquaculture, Soil Science
- UTME Subjects: English, Chemistry, Biology or Agricultural Science, and Mathematics or Physics
- O’ Level Requirements: Five credits, including English, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, and Biology or Agricultural Science.
Faculty of Arts
- Programme: Religious and Cultural Studies
- UTME Subjects: English, Christian Religious Knowledge, and two other subjects
- O’ Level Requirements: Five credits, including English and Christian Religious Studies.
Faculty of Biological Sciences
- Programmes: Botany, Marine Biology, Zoology
- UTME Subjects: English, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics
- O’ Level Requirements: Five credits, including English, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, and Biology.
Faculty of Education
- Programmes: Education and Mathematics, Education and Physics, Education and Chemistry, Education and Integrated Science
- UTME Subjects: English, Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics
- O’ Level Requirements: Five credits, including English, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, and Biology.
Faculty of Engineering
- Programme: Agricultural Engineering
- UTME Subjects: English, Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics
- O’ Level Requirements: Five credits, including English, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, and another Science subject.
Faculty of Physical Sciences
- Programmes: Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics
- UTME Subjects: English, Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics
- O’ Level Requirements: Five credits, including English, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, and Biology.
Registration Details
- Registration Period: Monday, 11 November 2024 to Friday, 29 November 2024
- Candidates who miss this deadline will not be considered for admission.
Screening Requirements
- 2024 UTME Result Slip
- 2024 Direct Entry Registration Slip (for Direct Entry candidates)
- Relevant certificates (e.g., HND, ND, NCE, A-level)
- Birth Certificate
- Certificate of Origin
- AKSU PUTME/DE Registration Confirmation Slip
Registration Steps
- Visit the AKSU Admission Portal.
- Click on “Start Now,” then select “Enrol” and choose PUTME.
- Enter your JAMB Registration Number to proceed.
- Pay a non-refundable fee of N2,000.
- Upload all required documents in jpg format (size: 120KB-150KB).
- Review entries, submit, and generate the Registration Confirmation Slip.
Key Reminders
- Admission must be accepted within four weeks; failing to do so may affect eligibility for future admissions.
- Upload your O’ Level results to the JAMB portal at an approved CBT centre.
- AKSU does not use agents or third parties for admissions; direct all queries to AKSU Admissions Support or the Registrar.
