Association urges Sule to construct classrooms, provide facilities at GSS Aloce

NASARAWA EGON (Sundiata Scholar ) – Nassarawa State, The Government Secondary School Old Students’ Association ( ALOSA) , has appealed to Gov. Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State to construct classrooms and provide modern facilities at the school in Aloce.This, the association said, was to restore the lost glory of the school by improving its standard of education.

Rev. Fr. Lawrence Soja, the Chairman of the AlOSA made the appeal during its maiden general meeting, get together and media tour to the school on Tuesday in Nassarawa Eggon LGA.

He said that almost all the structures in the school were built by Parents Teachers’ Association since its establishment in 1981.Soja said, ” We are here as the old students of this school and to see things for ourselves.” We went round and we saw.

It is unfortunate that the school is dilapidated.” I want to appeal to Sule to come to the aid of the school by constructing classrooms and providing necessary facilities in the school.” This is to create an enabling environment for teaching and learning in order to ensure an improved standard of education.”

The clergy also appealed to the old students of the school and other well wishers to contribute positively to its development.” They can contribute their quota to the development of the school by giving back to the school what the school has made us,” Soja said.

The chairman promised to initiate projects that would have direct bearing on the lives of the students and staff of the school.

On her part, the Vice Principal of the school, Mrs Hannatu Manga, appreciated the members of the association for the visit and for having the interest of the school at their hearts.

She also called on the members of the association to contribute meaningfully to the development of the school.

Also speaking, Chief Adams Nangba, the District Head of Wakama while inaugurating the Interim Committee of the association, urged its members not to relent in their efforts toward the development of the school.

He also assured of his commitment to render his support to the development of the schoolOn his part, Mr Alex Nangba, the Chairman, Parents Teachers’ Association ( PTA) of the school also appealed to the state government to construct

classrooms and provide chairs in the school.He said that the PTA body has done its best in putting structures in the school. (NAN)
