Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago has declared a state of emergency on education in the Niger North Senatorial District during a project tour of the region.
The governor highlighted his concern over the lack of adequate schools in many communities, particularly in Bangi and Mariga Local Government Area. He stated that the declaration is intended to address the educational challenges in the district.
Governor Bago announced plans to establish additional schools in the zone and renovate existing day schools, equipping them with modern facilities to improve the quality of education.
He also pledged to address the issue of water scarcity in the area and reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to eradicating all forms of criminality in the region.
