The Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Mr Godwin Emiefele, has pledged constant financial support towards higher institutions across the country. He stated that the gesture was in line with the banks’ Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policy geared towards developing the educational sector.
The CBN Governor made this known via his representative, the Kano branch manager, Alhaji Aliyu Abdulkadir, during the official handing over of a post-graduate hostel built by the CBN to the Kano University of Science and Technology, Wudil, Kano State.
Emiefele encouraged the University to maintain the hostel structure while revealing that the bank had invested millions of naira into the project. He added that the hostels were built to reduce accommodation challenges faced by postgraduate students in Nigeria.
