Community leaders in Rivers State cry out over poor condition of community schools in the state




With the full resumption of schools in view after the COVID-19 break, community leaders in Ogboloma, Abua Odual Local Government Area (LGA) have appealed to the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike to come to their aid and save the community primary school from collapse and absence of teachers.

The Chairman, Ogboloma Community Development Committee (CDC), Tom Family disclosed that the primary school have been neglected for long and no longer conducive for learning.

Mr Tom called for urgent intervention from the state government to renovate the school so that pupils in the community can have a safe environment to resume academic activities.

He further attributed inaccessible roads to the absence of teachers from the school and urged the state government to look into the situation as soon as possible.
