The Federal University of Medical and Health Sciences, Kwale, has been granted a takeoff site in the Ndokwa West Local Government Area of Delta State, with the approval of the state’s governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori.
On Friday in Asaba, journalists were informed of the governor’s permission by Chief Emamusi Obiodeh, the State Commissioner for Lands, Surveys, and Urban Development.
The Commissioner claims that the takeoff site of the Federal University of Medical and Health Sciences was formerly occupied by the School of Marine Technology, Kwale.
The Delta State School Marine Technology, Kwale campus has moved to a permanent location, and the governor has granted the usage of 15 hectares of land, which includes all of the equipment and buildings that were previously there.
The new university will function out of this temporary location until they relocate to their 100-hectare permanent location at Umuseti-Kwale.
Governor Oborevwori, according to the Commissioner, expressed gratitude to the Federal Government for selecting Delta State to host this crucial specialised university.
He expressed the State Government’s preparedness to partner with the Federal Government, and any other serious investors with capacity that are ready to invest in the state.
The Commissioner said Governor Oborevwori has directed him to provide land to investors who are ready to partner with the state with viable developments that will impact the lives of Deltans and other Nigerians.
