Dowen College expresses delight with students’ performance in WASSCE




Students of Dowen College, Lekki, Lagos performed well in the 2024 West African Senior School Certificate Examinations (WASSCE), impressing the school management.

In a statement, the school praised the students’ performance in the recently revealed WASSCE results.

Dr. Bisi Layiwola, Principal/Head of School, commented on the success, attributing it to the school’s holistic teaching and well-rounded nurturing of students.

She remarked that the feat was made possible by the hard work of dedicated teachers, as well as students’ resilience and determination.

She said: “The Grade Result Analysis came out as: A1 Grade- 45.0%, A1 – B3 Grades – 85.2%; A1 – C6 Grades – 97.4% and overall pass rate was 99.7%. Our focus is to produce outstanding students who will be ready to occupy their rightful places in the near future. The holistic teaching and well-rounded nurturing of our learners have had significant impact on them.

“Also, the hardwork of our dedicated teachers and the resilience and determination of the learners made it possible to perform well. Our mission is to be the best and we won’t relent in our efforts.”

The school also commended the parents, including those based overseas, for their dedication and constant efforts to monitor their children’s progress in all areas.
