The Federal Capital Territory College of Education, Zuba, has announced its 3rd combined convocation ceremony, set to honour more than 1,000 graduates.
Speaking during a pre-convocation press conference in Abuja on Wednesday, the Provost, Dr Sule Mundi, revealed that the graduates would receive the Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) across 28 programmes.
Dr Mundi noted that the event, scheduled for Saturday, would be the first convocation since February 2020, combining five consecutive sets of graduates.
He also mentioned plans to recognise 11 top-performing students and a few distinguished individuals during the ceremony.
“The main convocation will be held on Saturday, and FCT Minister Nyesom Wike is expected to grace the event,” he said.
The provost highlighted insecurity as a significant challenge at the college’s permanent site.
However, he explained that the management had taken steps to enhance safety by constructing a perimeter fence, a security gatehouse, and deploying security personnel to protect lives and property on campus
