Obtain the FUHSO Post UTME form if you want to pursue a profession in the health sciences. It could be a vital first step. Here are some tips to help you through the application process
Eligibility
FUHSO is looking for candidates who selected the institution as their First Choice in the 2023/2024 UTME or Direct Entry admissions. If that’s you, you’re in the right place!
UTME Cut-off Marks
For UTME applicants, you’ll need O’Level credits in at least five relevant subjects, including English and Mathematics. These should be from no more than two sittings. Plus, there’s a minimum UTME cut-off mark to consider:
1. COLLEGE OF MEDICINE
- Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) – 240 and above
- B.Sc., Biochemistry – 200 and above
2. FACULTY OF SCIENCE
- B.Sc. Microbiology – 200 and above
- B.Sc. Computer Science – 200 and above
- B.Sc. Chemistry – 190 and above
- B.Sc. Biostatistics – 190 and above
- B.Sc. Biological Sciences – 190 and above
- B.Sc. Mathematics – 190 and above
- B.Sc. Physics – 190 and above
Exploring Alternatives
Candidates who scored 200 and above in UTME could be allowed to take alternative courses during the screening exercise from the following programmes:
- B. Pharmacy
- B. Nursing Science
- B. Medical Lab. Science
- B.Sc. Human Nutrition and Dietetics
Direct Entry Candidates
Direct Entry applicants, you’re expected to have at least a Second Class lower degree in relevant science courses or a minimum of 13 points in A Levels/IJMB, including Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.

Change of Institution
If you’re considering FUHSO now but didn’t initially choose it, make the change on the JAMB portal. Ensure you meet the UTME subject combinations and O’Level prerequisites for your chosen programme.
Uploading Results: Don’t Miss Out
Your O’Level results must be on the JAMB portal. If they’re not, you won’t be visible in the JAMB’s Central Admission Processing System (CAPS), which means no admission for you.
Screening Essentials
When you come for the screening, bring:
- Proof of FUHSO as your first choice
- JAMB results printout
- Original SSCE/NECO certificates
- Birth certificate and two passport photos
- Receipt for your N2,000.00 processing fee paid through REMITA
