The Federal Government of Nigeria stated on Tuesday that Nigerian students have until April 19, 2024, to apply for scholarships in Mauritius.
This announcement was made by the Federal Ministry of Education and was endorsed by the Federal Scholarship Board Management.
“The Mauritius Ministry of Education Science and Technology is inviting application from eligible Nigerian students both Undergraduate and Postgraduate for the Academic year 2024,” it said.
“The application form is obtainable from the websites below and must be filled electronically, printed and signed: http://ministry-education.govmu.org or http://highereducationmauritius.com.
“All applicants must have applied for at least one full-time on-campus programme at a public Higher Education Institution (HEIs) of their choice (listed under Section 8).”
Applicants have been directed to either obtain a conditional offer (letter of admission) from their chosen Mauritian public HEI and summit this along with the scholarship application.
They are also required to submit an acknowledgment notice from a Mauritian public HEI that the application for the seat has been made and the appropriate application fees have been paid.
“All candidates must submit the fully completed application form and document listed under section 1-6 as part of their application to Federal Scholarship Board, Abuja on or before 19th April 2024.
”In terms of eligibility requirements, applicants must be citizens of Nigeria; undergraduate students must be older than 18 and not older than 26 by January 1, 2025.
Candidates for the postgraduate degree must not have turned 40 by January 1, 2025, and their official health certificates from accredited government hospitals are crucial.
“Good WAEC result for undergraduate, Masters and PhD, minimum of second class upper (2.1),” the Federal Scholarship Board Management added.
