FUAM bans leggings, shorts, spaghetti tops, heavy makeup, tattoos, others in a new dress code review
The Federal University of Agriculture Makurdi, Benue State, has released a circular with the acceptable dress code for students of the institution on campus.
In the internal memo dated Tuesday, April 20, 2021, the university administration said it has set up a Taskforce Committee to enforce the implementation of the approved dress code for students.
Listing the acceptable dress code for male students, the memo said hair should be well combed at all times and the cuts should not be colored or carry any inscriptions.
The memo said all outfits by female students should be below the knee level and hairstyles should be neatly packed and weaved. Hair extensions with colors such as blue, green, white, yellow, red, pink, and purple or a combination of any of these colors were also banned.
Other banned outfits are leggings trousers with short tops, skimpy dress like Spaghetti, camisole, body hugs, shorts, knickers, bathroom slippers, heavy makeups, and body tattoos by male students.
