FUHSO Post UTME Form 2024/2025: Eligibility Criteria and Application Process
The Federal University of Health Sciences, Otukpo (FUHSO), has opened its admission process for the 2024/2025 academic session. This provides an opportunity for candidates interested in pursuing health sciences at one of Nigeria’s premier universities.
Eligibility Criteria for FUHSO Post UTME Screening
Candidates who applied through JAMB for the 2024/2025 UTME or Direct Entry (DE) and selected FUHSO as their first choice are eligible for the screening. Applicants must also meet the following requirements:
- O’level Requirements: Candidates must have obtained at least five credits, including English and Mathematics, in no more than two sittings.
- UTME Applicants: The minimum cut-off marks for each course are:
- College of Medicine:
- MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery): 240 and above
- B.Sc. Biochemistry: 200 and above
- B.Sc. Microbiology: 200 and above
- B.Sc. Computer Science: 180 and above
- B.Sc. Chemistry: 180 and above
- B.Sc. Biostatistics: 180 and above
- B.Sc. Biological Sciences: 180 and above
- B.Sc. Mathematics: 180 and above
- B.Sc. Physics: 180 and above
- Direct Entry Candidates: Must hold at least a second-class lower degree in relevant science courses or A Levels/IJMB with a minimum of 13 points, including Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
Alternative Courses for High Scorers
Candidates with UTME scores of 220 and above may be considered for alternative programmes, including:
- B. Pharmacy
- B. Nursing Science
- B. Medical Laboratory Science
FUHSO Post UTME and Direct Entry Screening Details
The screening will take place at the University’s Lecture Theatre, Take-off Campus, Otada, Otukpo. The specific date will be announced later.
How to Change FUHSO as First Choice
Candidates wishing to switch to FUHSO should visit the JAMB portal and select Federal University of Health Sciences, Otukpo as their first choice. Ensure that your selected programme aligns with your UTME subject combination and O’level results.
Remember to upload your O’level results on the JAMB portal, as candidates who fail to do so will not be considered for admission.
Required Documents for FUHSO Post UTME Screening
Candidates should bring the following to the screening:
- Evidence of selecting FUHSO as the first choice through JAMB
- JAMB results printout from JAMB CAPS
- Original SSCE/NECO O’level Certificate/Result
- Birth Certificate
- Two passport-sized photographs
- Proof of payment of the non-refundable N2,000 processing fee via REMITA
- Two photocopies of all documents
