The Association of Primary School Head Teachers of Nigeria (AOPSHON) praised the Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board (OYOSUBEB) for successfully implementing computer-based tests for job seekers.
Adekunle Adedeji, chairman of AOPSHON, expressed confidence in the examination’s conduct, pointing out that there were no reported issues.
During his visit to the Distance Learning Centre in Ajibode, Ibadan, he praised the board for monitoring the examination.
“We checked the CBT examinations and the exams went on very smoothly. We are happy with the credibility of the exams and we didn’t have any incident in the exams,” Adedeji said.
He also thanked the state government for the ongoing workshop for retiring headteachers, stating that it will help the majority of them prepare for life after retirement.
Speaking about the exams, OYOSUBEB chairman Nureni Adeniran stated that approximately 50,097 students took the exam.
Adeniran, who stated that the examination took place in a single centre, praised the candidates’ conduct during the exercise.
“The CBT exam was very successful and candidates have started seeing their results. There was calmness and the students were well comported during the whole exercise.”
The CBT examination for prospective teachers began on July 22 and ended on July 26, 2024.
