Hillside University of Science and Technology Celebrates 2nd Matriculation

Today, March 13, 2025, at the Odubabakoko Auditorium, a fresh group of scholars are being officially admitted into Hillside University of Science and Technology, Oke-Imesi Ekiti. From all indications, this cohort of students represents a promising future.
Approximately one year ago, Hillside University of Science and Technology (HUST) marked a significant milestone by welcoming its first set of students in an inaugural matriculation ceremony.
The theme, Disruptive Innovation for National Development, establishes a vision of excellence, with Prof. Emmanuel Iyayi Unuabonah, a renowned academic, motivating the students on the transformative impact of innovation in shaping Nigeria’s future.
During that memorable first ceremony, our President and Vice-Chancellor, Professor Iheanyichukwu Okoro, made a profound pledge: “We will challenge your intellect, equip you with practical know-how, and nurture your empathy and compassion. Our goal is to produce graduates who are not only knowledgeable but also innovative, creative, and socially responsible.” These words remain at the core of our mission.
Now, as we mark the Second Matriculation Ceremony, we recognize this not merely as another milestone but as a testament to the continuous progress of a university committed to excellence. This year’s theme, Learners to Leaders: Knowledge, Enterprise, and Growth, underscores our dedication to transforming students into the leaders of tomorrow. With Professor Chinedum Peace Babalola as the guest speaker, we anticipate yet another inspiring ceremony that will define the path forward.
