The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has issued the results of candidates who took the supplementary Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) held on Friday, June 21st and Saturday, June 22nd, 2024.
The supplementary examination was held for 28,835 applicants who were unable to be biometrically authenticated during the main 2024 UTME and hence unable to take the exam.
Similarly, the other category of candidates included individuals who were suspected of engaging in test malpractice during the main UTME but were given a second chance to take the exam.
The exercise, which was a major success nationwide, was highlighted by increased security measures put in place by the Board to prevent any instances of examination infractions.
As a result, some unscrupulous individuals who attempted to impersonate legitimate candidates were apprehended and turned over to law enforcement agencies for further investigation and prosecution.
Dr Fabian Benjamin, JAMB’s Head of Communication, stated that the Board will continue to ensure that no candidate benefits from any acts of violations by deploying cutting-edge technology before, during, and after examinations.
He consequently asked candidates to desist from engaging in any type of misconduct during their examinations. They are also prohibited from soliciting score upgrades from fraudsters or mutilating their result sheets to manufacture false results sheets with better scores.
To check their supplementary UTME results, JAMB officials recommended candidates to send UTMERESULT to either 55019 or 66019 through the same phone number they had used to generate their profile codes at the start of registration.
