JAMB Releases 2025 Mock UTME Results

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially published the results of the 2025 Mock Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), which took place on Thursday, April 10, 2025.

In a statement released and signed by Fabian Benjamin, JAMB noted, “Candidates can check their results by sending ‘MOCKRESULT’ to either 55019 or 66019 using the phone number (SIM) registered for the examination.”

This mock test, which is optional, was organized to assess the board’s new yearly upgrades and to give candidates a chance to get comfortable with the Computer-Based Test (CBT) setup.

Initially, 200,115 candidates showed interest in sitting for the mock examination; however, after two individuals pulled out, the number of registered participants stood at 200,113.

Out of those who registered, 73,844 did not attend the examination, and 88 candidates were not allowed to proceed after failing biometric verification.

As a result, a total of 126,181 candidates took the test successfully, with the results of 115,735 candidates now ready for access.

Moreover, 10,446 of the results are still under review and are expected to be released shortly.

“The Board acknowledges the delays experienced by some candidates during the examination and regrets any inconvenience caused. These challenges are anticipated due to the new features implemented to enhance the overall conduct of the main UTME. JAMB appreciates the support of candidates and parents in facilitating a smoother process.”

This preliminary exam is intended to simulate the UTME, giving the Board a chance to test system upgrades while allowing candidates to gain hands-on experience in the CBT format.

Throughout the years, the initiative has met its intended goals by fixing operational gaps and helping candidates prepare more effectively for the main exam.

JAMB is encouraging all candidates to keep making the necessary efforts and adjustments to help ensure a more efficient and beneficial examination experience.
