Kwara Government, TETFund Partner on Infrastructure, Youth Development

The Kwara State Government and the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) have highlighted the importance of enhancing cooperation in the areas of education, infrastructure, and youth development.

While addressing reporters in Ilorin, Nurudeen Adeyemi, a member of the Board of Trustees representing the North Central zone at the agency, stated that the current government’s emphasis on inclusive learning and innovation aligns with TETFund’s mission of building strong educational institutions.

During the interaction, he praised Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq for the progress made in infrastructure growth, human capital investment, and prioritising the education sector.

He further applauded the founding of the Kwara State University of Education, calling it a major milestone that demonstrates the governor’s dedication to improving teacher training and lifelong educational access.

Adeyemi reiterated his dedication to backing programmes that equip young people with digital knowledge, technological abilities, and entrepreneurship skills needed to excel in a knowledge-based economy. He stressed that lasting development begins with arming future generations with the skills to “create, innovate, and lead.”

In his response, Governor Abdulrazaq restated the state’s commitment to deepening its partnership with TETFund and other key players to implement impactful projects that enhance educational results throughout the state.

The session ended with both sides stressing the importance of ongoing collaboration to meet long-term targets in education, innovation, and the development of communities throughout the state and the North Central zone.
