Kwara University expels 175 students
Kwara State University, Malete, has expelled 175 students for various offenses.
Dr. Saeedat Aliyu, Acting Director of University Relations, stated that the expulsion was approved based on the recommendations of the Students’ Disciplinary Committee, SDC, which met between October 2021 and March 2024.
The expelled students were charged with a variety of offences, including examination malpractice, theft, using fraudulent results to obtain admission, assault, fraud, membership in unregistered associations, and possession of firearms.
The administration underlined its zero-tolerance policy towards any acts of indiscipline, noting that the institution is committed to delivering exceptional graduates in character and in learning.
