Lagos Cooperative College begins admission process for 2024/2025 academic session




The Lagos State Cooperative College (LASCOCO) has invited well-meaning and eligible students to apply for admission to the institution’s Full-Time National Diploma and Part-Time Professional Diploma Programmes for the academic year 2024/2025.

The College provides specialised cooperative courses to improve the practice and operation of cooperative business models, as well as to prepare students for professions in the micro and macro-financial industries and information communication technologies.

The academic programmes at the institution are rich in academic curriculum as well as practical hands-on skill proficiency, covering all aspects of industry activities required to satisfy today’s challenging dynamic labour market demands.

According to the Cooperative College, in addition to receiving a Diploma Certificate in their chosen subject of study, National Diploma Programme students are required to learn occupational skills of their choice at authorised Lagos State occupational Training Centres. As a result, they benefit from the ability to work for themselves.

Candidates interested in admission to the National Diploma programmes, namely Cooperative Economics and Management, Micro Finance and Enterprise Development, and Computer Study, will apply through the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) after selecting the College as their preferred choice of study, while candidates who have not previously chosen the institution can also apply by changing their choice on the Jamb Admission portal.

Additionally, candidates are expected to have five credits subjects pass in WAEC/NECO or its equivalent including English Language and Mathematics at not more than two sittings and three other subjects from Economics/Commerce, Principles of Accounting/Business Methods, Marketing, History/Government, Geography, Biology/Agriculture for either Micro Finance & Enterprise Development and Cooperative Economics & Management. While in Computer Science: Five credits in English-Language, Mathematics, physics, Chemistry and any Science subject at not more than two sittings.

For the three-semester part-time Professional Diploma In Cooperative Management, a minimum Diploma in any discipline in addition to satisfying O’Level requirements of five credits at not more than two sittings is required for admission. 

Prospective applicants for the National Diploma Programmes are to log on to: https://lascoco.lagosstate.gov.ng to fill and submit the post-UTME application screening form on the admission portal for N2,500:00. Professional Diploma candidates in Cooperative Management Candidates are also required to fill and submit application forms on the portal for N10,000:00 non-refundable fee or visit the school premises at Johnson Agiri Agricultural Complex, Old Abeokuta Road, Oko-Oba, Agege, Lagos to purchase application forms.
