Leverage higher education libralisation to develop your wards—Varsity urges parents

AKWA, (Sundiata Scholar) – Saint Peter University, Anina/Onneh, Anambra, has urged parents to take advantage of libralisation of higher education by the Federal Government develop their wards and children to contribute meaningfully to national development.

Mr Chuka Nnabuife, the public relations officer of the Catholic Diocese of Aguata in Anambra-owned university, said this during a news conference in Awka on Monday.

He said the university would contribute its quota to ensure that as many university education-seeking youths as possible had the opportunity to realise their dream.

To achieve that, Nnabuife who said the university located at a serene environment suitable for teaching and learning, would ensure that its fees were affordable to parents and guardians.

He said the institution, based at Achina/Onneh communities in Aguata Local Government Area, was already admitting new students for the 2024/2025 academic session. reports that the university offers 24 Bachelor of Science courses and a law degree, all approved by the Nigerian Universities Commission.

The courses are spread across faculties of: Science and Computing, Arts, Social and Management Sciences, Medical Sciences and Law. (NAN)
