Nacabs poly committed to providing quality education – Proprietor


AKWANGA (Sundiata Scholar) Nasarawa Mr David Abuluya, the Proprietor, Nacabs Polytechnic Akwanga, Nasarawa State, says he is committed to providing quality education to the students.
Abuluya, who is also the President of Eggon Cultural and Development Association (ECDA), gave the assurance on Monday in Akwanga while receiving the Garkuwan Matasa Arewa award from the Northern Youth Organisation of Nigeria (NYON).
The proprietor said that the institution had well-equipped laboratories and qualified lecturers, among other non-academic staff.
“No society will achieve speedy development without sound and quality education.
“That is why I will continue to provide quality education, as I will not compromise the standard of education in this institution,” he said.
Abuluya stated that the award would spur him to do his best for the good of the society.
“Today, I am overwhelmed, as this award will spur me to do more towards initiating good policies and programmes that will have direct bearing on the lives of Nigerians.
“I have contributed a lot to the development of the youths, widows, less privileged ones, among others,” he said.
He disclosed that he established the polytechnic to contribute his quota to the development of the education sector.
Abuluya, who is also the Chairman of Police Community Public Relations (PCRC), Nasarawa State, said that more than 80 per cent of his students were on scholarship.
He urged the officials of the association to keep on with the good work they were doing for Northern Nigeria.
The proprietor urged the association and other youths to continue to be law-abiding, respect constituted authorities, and remain united and peaceful at all times.
Earlier, Dr Isah Ododo, the National President of NYON, said that the award conferred on Abuluya was based on his positive contribution to the development of the education sector and Northern Nigeria at large.
“We have travelled across Northern Nigeria to assess individuals who have contributed positively to the development of the region.
“Our findings revealed that you have done a lot for the development of the education sector.
“This award is in recognition of your contribution to the development of the society,” he said.
