NCCE approves 30 programmes for College of Education Gindiri




The National Commission for Colleges of Education (NCCE) has approved full accreditation for 30 programmes at the College of Education Gindiri in Plateau state’s Mangu Local Government Council.

Prof. Lazarus Maigoro, the college’s Acting Provost, announced the good news to journalists in Jos on Tuesday.

The Provost, in a statement issued by the college’s Public Relations Officer, Elizabeth Aboreng, stated that with this approval, the College will now enrol NCE students in Special Education in the ongoing admissions process for the 2024/2025 academic session.

According to the statement, “30 programmes of the College of Education, Gindiri have been fully accredited.”

“The National Commission for Colleges of Education (NCCE) has also granted approval for the re-establishment of the Department of Special Education and Rehabilitation Science which was closed down 15 years ago.”

The Acting Provost, Professor Lazarus Maigoro, on behalf of Management, Staff, and Students, thanked the Executive Governor of Plateau State, Barrister Caleb Mutfwang, for his generosity in funding the accreditation exercise.

“With this, the college can now attain it’s full potential in given quality Teacher Education, the statement further” the statement stressed.
