NECO Approves More International Schools for SSCE
The National Examinations Council (NECO) announced on Saturday the accreditation of additional international schools as part of its efforts to expand its global reach.
In a statement, NECO’s acting Director of Public Relations, Azeez Sanni, revealed that the newly accredited schools are located in Niger Republic and Equatorial Guinea.
According to Sanni, NECO’s accreditation team visited the schools to evaluate their readiness to conduct the Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) and the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).
He stated, “Accreditation team inspected classrooms, laboratories, libraries, computer laboratories, workshops, examination halls and sport facilities to determine their adequacy and suitability for NECO Examinations.
“After a thorough evaluation and comprehensive assessment, the schools were granted full SSCE and full BECE accreditation status.”
Currently, NECO examinations are administered to candidates in countries such as Benin Republic, Togo, Côte d’Ivoire, Niger Republic, Equatorial Guinea, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
