NECO employs digital system to recruit exam supervisors – Sani
The National Examinations Council (NECO) has announced that it has digitalized the recruiting process for Examination Supervisors and Assistant Supervisors for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) and the Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE), both internally and externally.
In a statement issued on Sunday, Azeez Sani, Ag. Director, Information and Digital Communication, stated that digitization is intended to prevent sharp practices in the recruitment process while also increasing efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery.
He explained that the digitization process involves migrating from manual recruitment of supervisors and assistant supervisors to an online system, which will ensure that supervisor nomination forms, appointment letters, and supervisor e-photo albums are generated online.
“Routine swapping of Supervisors and Assistant Supervisors during the Examination would be done Online. Interested qualified Teachers with NCE, Degree Certificate, Master Degrees, PhD and Professors are eligible to apply as Supervisors and Assistant Supervisors for BECE or SSCE Internal or External,” the statement added.
It could be recalled that before the digitalization system, recruitment of Supervisors and Assistant Supervisors was done manually by the Council
