NELFUND Cautions Students About Fake Loan Application Websites

The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has issued a warning to students, advising them not to submit loan applications through fraudulent websites and portals.

In a statement released on Saturday in Abuja, the Fund’s Director of Corporate Communications, Oseyemi Oluwatuyi, called on students and the general public to ignore any misleading websites, links, or messages that falsely claim to provide access to the NELFUND Student Loan Scheme.

“The Nigerian Education Loan Fund wishes to reiterate that the ONLY official portal for student loan applications is www.nelf.gov.ng.”

Students and the public have been urged to ignore any other websites, links, or messages that falsely claim to grant access to the NELFUND Student Loan Scheme. Any online platform apart from www.nelf.gov.ng is unauthorized and should not be relied upon.

According to Oluwatuyi, NELFUND is dedicated to providing financial assistance to eligible Nigerian students through a secure and transparent process. He further advised that for official updates and accurate information, individuals should visit www.nelf.gov.ng or check the Fund’s verified social media pages.
