NELFUND starts distributing April upkeep payments to student beneficiaries

The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has begun distributing upkeep payments for April 2025 to qualified student recipients throughout the nation.
This information was shared in a statement released on Monday in Abuja by Mrs. Oseyemi Oluwatuyi, who serves as the Director of Strategic Communications at NELFUND.
She noted that although the majority of the payments have gone through successfully, a small number of students might encounter some delays because of a recent upgrade to the system used for processing applications and payments.
“This system upgrade is expected to enhance security and support the timely disbursement of upkeep allowances in subsequent payment cycles,” she said.
Oluwatuyi gave assurance that NELFUND is actively collaborating with the necessary stakeholders to quickly fix the issues and make sure that all eligible students receive their payments without additional delays.
She reaffirmed the agency’s dedication to transparency, top-notch operations, and prompt support for students, in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda.
“We appreciate the patience and cooperation of all stakeholders as we continue to improve service delivery for the benefit of Nigerian students,” the statement added.
