NSUK Faculty of Engineering gets more equipment from NASENI




The proposed Faculty of Engineering in the Nasarawa State University, Keffi, has received yet another set of educational training equipment from the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure NASENI. 

The ceremony which took place at the Auditorium of the School of Postgraduate Studies had in attendance dignitaries from far and near.

In his welcome address, the Vice-Chancellor Professor Suleiman Bala Mohammed paid tributes to the Chancellor of the University for his support which has contributed to the growth and development of the University.

The Vice-Chancellor also eulogised the EVC/CE of NASENI Engr. Prof. M.S. Haruna for the amazing support he has been rendering the University from the setting up of the Faculty of Engineering to the facilitation of the donation of equipment from De Lorenzo SPA of Italy, and his acceptance to serve as the Chair of the Steering Committee for the establishment of the Faculty of Engineering.

In his speech, the EVC of NASENI Engr. Prof. M.S. Haruna said that the donation of the equipment was an expression of the agency’s fulfillment of the terms of the Memorandum of Understanding signed between NASENI and NSUK on 10th July 2019 towards the Establishment of the Faculty of Engineering.

The underlisted Equipment was installed and demonstrated to dignitaries at the occasion.

1. Complete Hydroelectric Power Plant Trainer.
2. Wind Power Plant Trainer.
3. Smart Grid Basic Configuration Trainer.
4. Solar Energy Trainer.

There were Goodwill messages from the Chancellor of the University and Emir of Keffi, Alh. Dr. Shehu Chindo Yamusa III, and the Honorable Commissioner for Education, Science, and Technology, Nasarawa State, Mrs. Fati Jimeta Sabo.
