Osun State Ministry of Education warns the public against falling for recruitment scam
The State Government of Osun on Thursday said the Ministry of Education is yet to release any official date for the conduct of the recruitment examination for intending teachers into public schools across the state.
This is just as members of the public are also warned against fraudsters going about with fake news that the sale of forms for recruitment into the state’s teaching service is still on.
This is contained in a release signed by the Commissioner for Education, Hon. Folorunsho Oladoyin and made available to journalists in Osogbo by the Coordinating Director in the Ministry, Mrs Kehinde Olaniyan.
While warning members of the public against fraudsters posing as officials of the Ministry of Education, the Commissioner through the statement said the Ministry will announce the date for the exam through a verifiable source.
The statement reads in part, “We must first thank all applicants for their patience and also apologize for the delay in the recruitment process, this is largely due to the lockdown occasioned by the coronavirus pandemic and the #EndSars curfew.
“It has been brought to our knowledge that application forms for the recruitment are still on and that a date for the examination has been picked, we must warm members of the public to disregard any of such information. The Ministry of Education is no more selling forms and is yet to pick any official date for the examination.
“We appeal to all applicants to wait for the official statement from the Ministry of Education as an appropriate date and venue for the examination will be communicated soon. The recruitment process will be conducted by the Jamb and successful applicants will be selected only on Merit basis”. The former lawmaker stressed.
