IKORUDU (Sundiata Scholar) – A publisher, Mr Somi Uranta, has urged the Federal Government to modify education curriculum to suit Nigeria’s purposes more.
Uranta report in Lagos on Sunday that the modification would equip school leavers better and make them more relevant.“
Curriculum or syllabus is garbage in, garbage out, it must be re-tooled.“If we must be free as a nation, we must re-package it for our own purposes and use,” he said.
He urged that the curriculum should be practical-oriented and equip students with the knowledge to explore untapped resources of the country.“Nigeria is blessed with a lot of natural resources
.“There are green vegetations everywhere, we should be able to take control of our environment,” he said. (NAN)
