Student Loan: Kano APC enlightens students on application process and access

The Kano State All Progressives Congress (APC) Students Council has organised a sensitisation workshop on the Nigerian Education Loan Fund to help students comprehend the application and access process.

Abdullahi Ganduje, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), was represented by Suleiman Bichi, who emphasised the significance of education and encouraged students to apply for an education loan to boost their learning.

He stated that the goal of the sensitisation was to raise students’ awareness of President Bola Tinubu’s readiness to enhance access to education in the country.

Suleiman Bichi stated, “We have a president who is visionary for a better Nigeria in the future.”

The President of the Kano State APC Students Council, Yahya Usman, stated that the purpose of the sensitisation was to educate students on the benefits of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund system.

Usman stated that the loan is available to all students and will help to promote education at tertiary institutions.

He praised President Bola Tinubu for his commitment to aiding students and making it possible for Nigerian students.

Usman encouraged Kano State students to seize the opportunity to further their education.

While discussing the relevance of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund, Dr Salim Hamza Ringim drew the students’ attention to the responsibilities and regulations that govern the Education Loan Fund.

He described the Nigerian Education Loan Fund as open-ended and accessible until a student completes his or her Education.

Ringim noted that because of its simplicity, the terms are easier and more flexible, taking into cognisance the student’s Financial status.

“The borrowers pay 15% of their income monthly for up to 25 years based on the income repayment plan while the standard repayment plan requires students to pay a fixed amount monthly for up to ten years.”

Dr. Ringim urged Kano students to apply for and receive Education Loans to advance their careers.

Abdullahi Abbas, the APC Chairman in Kano State, was represented by the organising secretary, Shafi’u Abdullahi, who urged Kano students to take advantage of the loan plan for educational purposes.

He asked them to support the party and policies of President Bola Tinubu.

Remember that President Bola Tinubu recently signed the Nigerian Education Loan Fund into law. The Act enables Nigerian students to apply for and support their education.
